Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 8 c. corn
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 c. sweet red pepper, chopped

    Place ears of corn in boiling water.

    Boil 5 minutes; drop in cold water.

    Cut from cob and measure.

    Add remaining ingredients and boil 15 minutes.

    Pack into sterilized jars to within 1/2-inch of top.

    Seal and process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 pints.
