- 3/4 c. meal
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Put flour and meal in mixing bowl.

3Put drippings in an iron skillet and heat in oven while you mix the buttermilk with flour and meal.

4Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of drippings in the flour mixture.

5Mix well.

6Bake until bottom is brown, then turn to broil to brown top.
