- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. sour cream or 1 c. buttermilk with 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. boiling water
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients and set aside.

2Beat eggs and add sour cream.

3Add egg and cream mixture to dry ingredients.

4Add boiling water and stir until just moistened.

5Pour batter into 8 x 8 x 2-inch greased baking pan.

6Bake at 375° for 25 minutes or until bread top is golden brown and springs back to the touch.
