  • 1 c. cornmeal (water ground)
  • 4 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
  • 3 Tbsp. baking drippings

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients well; add buttermilk, eggs and fat.

    Put in hot skillet.

    Cook at 425° for 17 minutes.
