- 3/4 cups Yellow Cornmeal
- 1 cup Flour
- 1/3 cups Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 Tablespoons Bacon Fat (secret ingredient!)
Directions

1Preheat oven 425 and grease an 8x8 pan.

2Mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. Mix milk, egg, and bacon fat separately, then blend with the dry mixture.

3Pour into the pan. Bake for about 20 minutes.

4The bacon fat is absolutely necessary for this recipe to turn out amazing. You could use butter instead, but it's nowhere near as good!
