- 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.

2Mix together milk and egg and oil and sugar.

3Add to the cornmeal mixture. Stir only enough to mix.

4Fill greased baking pan half full.

5Bake at 425° about 25 minutes or until lightly brown.

6Can also be baked in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan.

7Makes 6 servings.
