  • 1 1/3 c. home ground meal
  • 1/2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1/2 c. powdered milk (or little less)
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil (heated in skillet)

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients well.

    Add water; mix well.

    Add 1/3 of oil that has been heated.

    Pour mixture in 9-inch skillet.

    Dip oil from sides of mixture and put over top of bread.

    Bake in one 9-inch skillet in 450° oven until brown.
