  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 4 c. cornbread, crumbled
  • 8 slices dried bread, cubed
  • 1 3/4 c. turkey broth
  • 1 c. turkey giblets, cooked and chopped
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions

    In skillet over medium-high heat, saute onion and celery in margarine until slightly tender.

    In large bowl combine celery mixture, cornbread, bread cubes, turkey broth, giblets, salt, poultry seasoning, pepper and egg.

    Spoon dressing into lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish.

    Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 40 to 50 minutes.
