  • 2 c. corn meal
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. Cavender's seasonings
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 skillet Cornbread
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • chicken broth
  • 1 can biscuits
  • 1 to 2 onions
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • slivered almonds or water chestnuts

Directions

    Cook turkey or chicken until done.

    Bake Cornbread and biscuits day before.

    Crumble both. Saute onion and celery in butter.

    Add all remaining ingredients and mix well.

    Place in baking dish; top with almonds or water chestnuts and bake.
