- 2 c. corn meal (self-rising)
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 ham bone with some ham left on it
Directions

1Boil ham bone in large pot with salt and pepper and crushed red pepper to your taste.

2Take about 1 cup broth.

3Cool.

4Mix with meal, flour and eggs.

5Add only enough broth to make a stiff batter.

6Wet hands and make small cakes from batter.

7Drop into boiling broth.

8Cook 10 minutes uncovered and cover on low heat for 25 minutes.
