Corned Beef In Foil

Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. corned beef
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 celery stalk with leaves
- 1 carrot, sliced
Directions

1Soak corned beef in water to cover for 1/2 hour or longer if deeply corned.

2Place a large sheet of heavy-duty foil on a shallow pan.

3Remove corned beef from water and pat dry to remove any salt on surface.

4Place in center of foil and pour over it 1/4 cup fresh water.

5Sprinkle with the spice and arrange orange slices and vegetables over and around the meat.

6Bring long ends of foil up over meat and seal with a tight double fold.

7Seal other ends, turning them up so liquid can not run out.

8Bake in a 300° oven for 4 hours.

9Remember, always slice meat across the grain.
