- 2 Cornish hens
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
- 4 slices bread, cubed
- 2 tsp. margarine or butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp. dried sage leaves
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/8 tsp. ground pepper
- 1 rib celery, chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Rinse the Cornish hens and open each cavity for the stuffing.

3Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl.

4Toss to mix.

5Fill hen cavity with the stuffing.

6Place hens breast side up in a shallow pan and roast 40 to 50 minutes or until tender.
