- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 c yellow cornmeal
- 2 t sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/2 cold butter or margarine
- 1/2 cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 c milk
Directions

1In a bowl, combine dry ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly.

2Stir in cheese and milk just until moistened.

3Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.

4Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown.

5Serve warm.
