Cornmeal Rolls(Harriet'S)

- 2/3 c. cornmeal
- 2 c. water
- 1 cube butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 beaten eggs
- 2 pkg. dry yeast dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
- 6 + c. flour
Directions

1Cook cornmeal and 2 cup water like mush (5 to 10 minutes). While still hot add butter or margarine, sugar and salt.

2When cool add eggs, yeast mixture and enough flour, as you knead, until stiff and does not stick to board.

3Let rise until double.

4Punch down; let rise.

5Form into rolls.

6Let rise again (3 rises).

7Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
