- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. cornmeal
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Combine egg and flour. Beat in milk, salt and pepper. Whip to a smooth batter.

2Put cornmeal in a shallow pan.

3Set aside. Dip the fish into the batter, coating both sides.

4Place into the cornmeal and coat thoroughly.

5Shake off excess and fry to a golden brown.
