- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. plain cornmeal
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. white flour
- 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 c. sour cream
- 6 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.

2Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and pinch of salt.

3Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Sift flour, cornmeal and soda together 3 times.

5Add sour cream.

6Add salt to egg whites; beat until peaks.

7Fold in egg whites.

8Bake at 375° for 1 hour.
