- 1 c. boiling water
- 3/4 c. white or yellow corn meal
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
Directions

1Stir boiling water into corn meal, mixing thoroughly.

2Add remaining ingredients.

3Stir quickly until just mixed.

4Place in very hot, generously buttered skillet or casserole.

5Bake in moderate oven at 375° about 40 minutes or until nicely done. Serves 5 to 6.
