- 3/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 4 c. cut up vegetables (zucchini, carrots, onion and mushrooms or 1-inch cubed chicken breasts)
Directions

1In a bowl stir together first 5 ingredients.

2Add water and egg; stir until smooth.

3Pour 1 quart corn oil into a large skillet until hot.

4Dip vegetables or chicken.

5Fry 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.

6Drain on paper towels.
