   Mix salt and cornstarch in pan.

   Gradually add 1/2 cup boiling water.

   Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is too stiff to stir.

   When cool, knead until smooth.

   This mixture can be colored with vegetable coloring if desired.

   Add the coloring when you add the boiling water.
