Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 to 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 to 4 drops hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup fresh corn, cooked
  • 1 cup picante sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Directions

    In a medium bowl, combine the first nine ingredients; mix well. Shape into four patties. Heat oil in skillet; fry patties over medium heat for about 4 minutes per side or until done.

    Heat sauce ingredients in a small saucepan; serve over burgers. Serve on hamburger buns if desired.
