- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 1 tablespoon canola oil or 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 carrot, diced small
- 1 -2 garlic clove, minced
- salt
Directions

1Heat oil over medium heat.

2Add garlic, but don't let it brown.

3Add rice and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.

4Add 2 cups water, cook uncovered and get a strong boil going for a couple of minutes.

5Add carrots and salt to taste, reduce heat to low and cover for 10 minutes.
