- 1 large onion -chopped
- 2 med carrots - chopped
- 1.25lb ground beef
- 14oz can toms
- 290 ml beef stock
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp thyme
- 2 tbsp tom puree
- s & p
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375F.

2Boil 1.25lb pototoes if making mash.

3Heat oil in large pan. Add onion and carrot and cook over medium heat for 5 mins until soft.

4Add beef and cook 3 mins until brown. Add toms, puree, beef stock, bay leaf & thyme.

5Cover & simmer for 30 mins. Season. Make mash.

6Transfer all to dish. bake for 30 mins until golden brown.
