- 3 1/2 c. milk
- 4 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 yellow cake mix
Directions

1Heat butter, 3 cups milk and sugar slowly to a boil.

2Combine 1/2 cup milk, eggs, salt, cornstarch and flavoring; beat well. Pour hot mixture into the egg mixture; mix well.

3Return mixture to stove.

4Heat on low until thick.

5Make yellow cake following directions on box.

6Serve cake with pudding mixture.

7Serve with topping warm.
