  • 6 to 8 apples (McIntosh, Winesap or Grimes Golden)
  • 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings or margarine
  • 1/3 c. sugar (can use more if like them sweeter)

Directions

    Peel and slice apples.

    Heat margarine or drippings in skillet.

    Add apples; cover and steam to desired tenderness (can use a small amount of water if needed).

    When apples are almost done, add sugar; continue to cook until apples are glazed and keep their shape.
