- 1 smoked ham
- 1 apple
- 1 onion
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 tsp. mixed pickling spices
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple slices
- cloves
Directions

1Soak ham overnight.

2Clean thoroughly.

3Place ham in a large container and cover with cold water.

4Put in an apple and an onion, big if the ham is big, small if small.

5Pour in molasses and pickling spices.

6Simmer very slowly.

7Allow 20 minutes per pound.

8Remove from heat just before the meat leaves the bone. Let the ham remain in the water until it has cooled.

9Remove it later, skin and cut off fat.

10Place the trimmed ham in a baking dish.

11Mix brown sugar and Worcestershire.

12Drain pineapple and cut into halves, forming crescents.

13Spread the brown sugar over the ham.

14Place pineapple halves in rows over brown sugar, piercing each slice with cloves.

15Bake at 275° for 20 minutes or until sugar glaze browns.
