Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 c. barbecue sauce
  • 1 medium Spanish onion, diced
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. whole celery seed
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 c. dark molasses
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
  • 1 (15 1/4 oz.) can dark red kidney beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can pinto or navy beans
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar mushrooms

Directions

    In a large Dutch oven, brown ground beef.

    Drain off fat.

    Add barbecue sauce, onion, salt, celery seed, mustard, molasses, beans and mushrooms to ground beef. Stir well.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 1 hour. Serve hot, or cool and freeze for later use.
