Crab Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 c. Ritz crackers
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c. chopped pimento
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 can water
  • 1/2 can milk
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 c. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 slices toast, crumbled
  • 3 c. crab meat
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute onion, celery and bell pepper in margarine.

    Add soup, water and milk.

    Mix well.

    Add all other ingredients and mix well.

    Fold in cheese last.

    Place in buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle cracker crumbs on top and garnish as desired.

    Bake in 350° oven until lightly brown.

    Add 1 pound raw shrimp and call it a seafood casserole.
