Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 c. half and half or small can evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c. dry sherry wine
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. minced green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. minced pimiento
  • 1 lb. crab meat (2 c.) crab and imitation crab together

Directions

    Make sauce from first 11 ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened.

    Stir a little of hot mixture into 1 beaten egg, then add egg to sauce.

    Add crab meat mix and put into oven-proof dish.

    Combine 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs and 1/4 cup melted butter.

    Sprinkle over top and heat at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes or until browned on top.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
