Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread, cubed
  • 2 c. crab meat
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 3 c. milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
  • paprika

Directions

    Cube 4 slices bread; put in long 3-quart glass casserole. Combine next 5 ingredients; spread over bread cubes.

    Cube other 4 slices of bread over this.

    Beat eggs; add milk and pour over mixture.

    This may be refrigerated until the next day.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, then spoon soup and cheese over and sprinkle with paprika.

    Bake an additional 60 minutes at 350°.
