  • 6 egg whites, beaten until frothy
  • 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. crushed soda crackers
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tub Cool Whip
  • pie cherries or strawberries or any fruit filling

    Add to beaten egg whites the cream of tartar and sugar.

    Beat until glossy, not stiff.
  3. 3
    Fold in crackers, nuts and vanilla. Place in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Cool.

    Add as much Cool Whip on top as you want. Carefully add cherries or fruit filling on top.
