- 2 c. rolled saltine crackers
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 6 egg whites
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 carton Cool Whip
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Directions

1Beat egg whites with cream of tartar.

2Beat until stiff in peaks.

3Beat in sugar slowly.

4Fold in slowly the saltine crackers.

5Add walnuts.

6Spread into greased jelly roll pan.

7Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

8Cool.

9When totally cool, spread Cool Whip on top and drop cherry pie filling on top of Cool Whip. Refrigerate cake and serve after it sets.
