Ingredients

  • 1 gal. popped corn
  • 1 c. raw peanuts
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/3 c. Karo syrup
  • 1 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • pinch of salt

    Boil margarine, syrup and sugar 4 minutes.

    Remove from heat; add to syrup mixture 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

    Stir well.

    Pour over popcorn and nuts in large roasting pan; mix well.

    Bake at 250° for 1 hour and 15 minutes (ovens may vary), stirring every 15 minutes.

    Cool and store in covered container.
