  • 2 c. self-rising cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 c. cracklings
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. bacon drippings (optional)

Directions

    Place cubed crackings in baking pan.

    Cook in oven at 375° until crispy, but not browned.

    Mix dry ingredients with milk, water and bacon drippings.

    Fold in cracklings and bake 35 minutes in 375° oven.
