- 2 c. cornmeal
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. bacon drippings
- 1 c. cracklings
Directions

1Combine cornmeal, soda and salt, mixing well.

2Add eggs, buttermilk and bacon drippings; stir until smooth.

3Stir in cracklings.

4Place a well-greased 9-inch square baking pan in a 450° oven for 3 minutes, or until hot.

5Remove pan from oven. Pour batter into pan.

6Bake at 450° for 25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
