Cranberry Bread

Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. each: salt and baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- 10 Tbsp. orange juice
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted and cooled
- 1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, cut in halves
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1In a bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.

2Make a well in the center of this flour mixture. Add the egg, orange juice and butter; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.

3Stir in cranberries and walnuts.

4Pour batter into a greased and floured 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.

5Bake at 350° until bread is golden brown on top and a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean (about 45 minutes).

6Turn out onto rack; let cool completely.
