Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 2 Tbsp. hot water
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 2 Tbsp. orange rind, grated
- 1 c. raw cranberries
- 1 jar (small) maraschino cherries, drained
Directions

1Sift the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and set aside. In another bowl, mix the egg, margarine, juice and water.

2Add the dry ingredients and mix well.

3Mix in the nuts, orange rind, cranberries and cherries.

4Pour mixture into one 9 x 5 x 3-inch greased loaf pan or two 7 x 3 x 2-inch loaf pans.

5Bake at 350° for 1 hour or 40 minutes for smaller loaves.

6Remove and cool. Wrap in plastic.
