- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 12 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup coarsely chopped cranberries
- 1 cup cornmeal (yellow)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 23 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

1Beat melted butter, brown sugar and egg together in mixing bowl.

2Mix in buttermilk.

3Add cranberries and stir.

4Add cornmeal, flour baking powder and salt.

5Stir to moisten.

6Turn into greased 9x9 inch pan.

7Sprinkle with walnuts.

8Bake in 400F oven for about 25 minutes until an inserted wooden pick comes out clean.
