  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    In a large bowl, measure the first 3 ingredients and mix.

    In a saucepan bring to a boil water, cocoa and margarine.

    Add boiled mixture to sugar and flour.

    Mix and add eggs, vanilla, buttermilk and baking soda.

    Pour into greased sheet cake pan (10 x 15-inch). Bake 20 minutes at 400°.
