Cream Cheese Drops

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. sweet butter or unsalted margarine
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
  • approximately 1/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Directions

    Allow the butter and cream cheese to soften at room temperature.

    Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese and sugar.

    Add the vanilla; mix well.

    Gradually add the flour, beating in thoroughly.

    Mix in the pecans.

    Drop from a teaspoon onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Decorate the tops with chocolate morsels, one for each cookie.

    Bake in a 375° oven for about 10 minutes.

    (The cookies should be very lightly browned.) Makes 8 dozen small cookies.
