  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz/ 250 g), softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (125 mL)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 mL)
  • 2 lbs confectioner's (icing) sugar (about 8 cups/2 L), sifted (1 kg)

Directions

    In a mixer bowl fitted with paddle attachment, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, about 5 minutes.

    Beat in vanilla.

    gradually add confectioner's sugar, mixing on low speed until it gathers, about 2 minutes.

    Increase speed and beat until very fluffy, for 4 mites.

    If icing is too stiff add a few drops of water.
