  • 3 sticks butter (3/4 lb.)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. lemon
  • 3 c. plain flour (1 lb.) or Softasilk cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

    Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar.

    Add flavoring.

    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one.

    Sift together baking powder, salt and flour.

    Pour dry mix into eggs.

    Use a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

    Bake for 90 minutes at 325°, start in cold oven.
