Cream Cheese Pound Cake

  • 3 sticks Blue Bonnet margarine
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 3 c. flour (plain)

Directions

    Cream softened margarine and cream cheese.

    Cream in sugar then eggs, adding egg one at a time.

    Add salt, baking powder, vanilla and almond extract; mix well.

    Add flour, a little at a time, then mix all for at least 5 minutes.

    Bake at 275° for 1 1/2 hours or until top splits, sides loosen from sides of pan and toothpick comes out clean.

    Bake in a large tube pan sprayed liberally with Pam spray.
