Cream Cheese Pound Cake

  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cream margarine, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add salt and vanilla; beat well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Stir in flour and baking powder.

    Spoon into a 10-inch tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
