- 1 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. flour
Directions

1Bring water and butter to boiling point in a large pan.

2Add sifted flour and beat quickly until smooth and won't stick to the spoon or pan.

3Cool slightly.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly.

5Drop on buttered cookie sheet at 400° until puffed, then reduce heat to 350° and finish baking.

6They should be brown and slightly dry.

7When cold, fill with custard or whipped cream and sprinkle powdered sugar over them.
