- 4 eggs
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Combine Crisco, salt and water.

2Heat to boiling.

3Sift flour; measure and add to boiling water.

4Beat vigorously until mixture leaves sides of saucepan and does not cling to spoon.

5Remove from fire.

6Add the unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating until mixture is smooth each time.

7Drop by tablespoons into well-oiled muffin tins.

8Bake 40 minutes in hot oven (400°).

9Makes 12 servings. When cooled, fill with favorite filling and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
