- 1/3 c. margarine or butter
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. currants or raisins
- 4 to 6 Tbsp. half and half
- 1 egg, beaten (for glazing)
- 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°.

2Cut margarine into flour, sugar, baking powder and salt until mixture resembles fine crumbs.

3Stir in 1 egg, the currants, orange rind and just enough half and half so dough leaves side of bowl. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead lightly ten times.

4Roll 1/2-inch thick.
