"Creamed" Cabbage Gratin

  • 3 gal. savoy cabbage, quartered, cored and thinly sliced
  • PHILADELPHIA Original Cream Cheese, cut into cubes, softened
  • 1 qt. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. caraway seed
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh chives, finely chopped

Directions

    For each serving: Add cabbage to pan of boiling water; blanch 20 sec.

    Drain cabbage; place in medium bowl.

    Add all remaining ingredients except chives; mix well.

    Spoon about 2 cups cabbage mixture into each of 24 small casserole dishes sprayed with cooking spray (or into 1 casserole dish for trial recipe).

    Bake in 350 degrees F standard oven 40 min.

    or until cabbage mixture is heated through and top is lightly browned.

    Place under broiler; broil until golden brown.

    Garnish each with 1/4 tsp.
