- 1 jar already prepared cooked onions or 1 1/2 lb. small white onions, peeled
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine

1Cook onions in boiling salted water 20 minutes if using fresh onions.
