- 2 c. raw pearl onions
- 3/4 c. skim milk
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- freshly ground black pepper
- dash of nutmeg (optional)
Directions

1Parboil onions until tender.

2Meanwhile, make a white sauce. Melt margarine in saucepan. Blend in flour and add milk gradually. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened.

3Drain onions and add to cream sauce.

4Season to taste. Yields 4 servings.
