  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 qt. sweet cream
  • 1 1/2 c. toasted bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • wild rice, cooked (6 servings)

    Slowly simmer in butter in large heavy cast-iron pan (deep) until tender.
